Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for ICU patients • Provide direct patient care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards • Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs • Review patient history and physical with patient/family within appropriate timeframe • Monitor diagnostics and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians • Formulate individualized care plans including discharge planning using assessment data and patient/family input • Implement care plans through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team • Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed • Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records in timely, legible manner • Participate in unit shared leadership and education of personnel, patients, students, families and visitors • Interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families and external healthcare contacts • Maintain current valid RN license in state of practice or compact licensure • BLS certification required • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required • Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area required • Bachelor's degree preferred • Professional certification preferred • Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to ICU area • Able to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient transfers • Physical agility and adequate reaction time required for emergency patient care situations Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center that provides acute care services with a focus on delivering excellent patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.
