Job Description
Property Controller Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid) Pay Range: $90,000 - $105,000 About the Role A well-established and expanding organization in Central Florida is looking for a Property Controller to manage accounting and financial operations across a portfolio of properties. This role will oversee month-end close, lead financial reporting, and collaborate with leadership to provide insights that guide business decisions. Why Work for this Company Longstanding, reputable company with strong roots in the Orlando area Supportive, team-oriented culture that values collaboration and respect Empowering environment with freedom to enhance processes and reporting Strong record of employee retention and internal promotion Leadership that prioritizes development and career growth Primary Responsibilities Oversee full-cycle accounting for a designated portfolio of properties Manage month-end and year-end close, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports Lead, train, and support accounting team members (AP/AR/Staff Accountants) Reconcile property-level general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy Review and assist with budgets, forecasts, and cash flow planning Support annual audits and external financial reviews Recommend improvements to internal controls, efficiency, and reporting accuracy Act as a key financial liaison between accounting, leadership, and property operations What You'll Need Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in property or real estate accounting Experience supervising or reviewing work of AP, AR, or Staff Accountants Solid understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting Advanced Excel and financial reporting capabilities Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and collaborative approach Preferred: Experience with multi-property or multi-entity accounting Background in hospitality, multifamily, real estate investment, or property management CPA certification or progress toward obtaining it Why You Should Apply Competitive pay with room for advancement Hybrid schedule and emphasis on work-life balance Supportive leadership focused on employee development Stable, growth-oriented organization with long-term opportunities This is an excellent opportunity for a Property Controller ready to take on a key leadership role and contribute to the financial success of a company that values its people and invests in their future.
