Job Description
Sales Manager ( 1 YEAR FTC) Marina Developments Ltd (MDL Marinas) is the UKs leading marina operator. We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Sales Manager on a one year fixed term contract, based at The Yacht Club. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our customers and driving the success of our marinas. The role will include but not limited to: This role needs to travel to various marinas to manage and support the sales team. Responsible for leading and developing the sales team to achieve performance targets across annual berthing, while supporting holiday and fitness revenue generation This role is will manage all sales activities to ensure administration and customer service operations run effectively, providing coaching to team members and establishing clear performance metrics and goals. You will be expected to implement sales strategies and tactics that deliver consistent growth and achievement of net annual berthing volume and revenue targets. You will be accountable for reporting directly to the Sales and Marketing Director, providing comprehensive sales performance analysis, market insights, customer feedback, and competitor intelligence. You will evaluate and manage the sales pipeline, optimising lead generation and conversion rates across all marinas for annual berthing. You will ensure the team maintains accurate records through the Atreemo (CRM) system, providing reporting on all KPIs and performance metrics. You will regularly audit data quality and implement improvements to sales processes as needed. You will be expected to brief the Marina Managers and their teams as required on the sales pipeline for their marina. You will support Marina Managers through collaboration, delivering regular team briefings on sales targets, pipeline developments, and strategic priorities. You will implement and maintain the MDL sales process (GUEST) throughout the team, ensuring all team members are fully trained and procedures are followed according to the MDL Operations manual.You will monitor your own performance and actively engage with customers giving a good service at all times. You will monitor both individual and team performance, conducting regular coaching sessions and developing improvement plans when required. You will foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring good service at all times while building strong relationships with other departments including MDL Holiday Parks, Estates, and MDL Fitness. You will ensure all legal, financial, competitor, HS&E and company policies are adhered to within your team. You will be responsible for any other task or responsibility that is appropriate, in the opinion of the Company, to be included in the duties of the Sales Manager. The key requirements for this role are but not limited to: Sales You are responsible for companies new annual berth sales performance. You are responsible (alongside the Marina Manager) for the marinas adherence to the established sales process and the accuracy of Key performance indicators shown below o Annual berth sales budget volume and net revenue o Contacts Made Internal and external prospecting calls/emails (Team average 40 per shift) o Appointments Marina tours booked per shift (virtual or in person) o Berth Sales Team average 1 per shift Customer Service You will instil a customer-first approach throughout your team, ensuring outstanding customer care at all points of contact and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels. Brand To operate in accordance with MDLs Brand pillars (Innovation, Pride and Experience) and principles (Warm and Friendly, Safe and Secure, Prompt and Efficient, Clean and tidy). Health & Safety and Environmental Compliance - To ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with the Company Health & Safety Policy and that all Risk Assessments, method statements and operating procedures are understood and adhered to. QMS - Deliver sales and operational process and systems in accordance with the quality management systems as laid down Marina Regulations and company procedures and policies are adhered to always. Direct Reports/Team All dealings with team members are carried out professionally, politely, and respectfully.
