Linux Engineer

Linux Engineer We’re looking for a Linux Engineer to join a growing engineering function responsible for a high-performance computing (HPC) environment. You’ll be part of the team that owns and operates the Linux estate end-to-end, from OS build and configuration through to ongoing operational support. This role offers the chance to work within a highly specialised, large-scale compute environment while contributing to the evolution and automation of core infrastructure services. Key responsibilities: Build, configure, and maintain Linux environments (Rocky/RHEL) Develop and enhance automation using GitLab, Packer, Terraform, Ansible, and Ansible Galaxy Support secure infrastructure operations using tooling such as HashiCorp Vault and Temporal Work with HPC-related technologies including Nvidia Spectrum X Contribute to continuous improvement across OS lifecycle management and automation pipelines Requirements: Strong experience working with Linux in automated or IaC-driven environments Hands-on experience with tools such as Terraform and Ansible Comfortable working across build, deployment, and operational support Hardware and networking experience is desirable but not essential Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-evolving environment What’s on offer: Highly competitive salary Hybrid model including 2 days onsite in London All travel costs covered, plus quality-of-life upgrades such as fast-track airport access and premium hotels Strong benefits package and opportunities for technical development If this sounds like you, click apply and one of the Provn team will be in touch to discuss the opportunity in more detail.
