Job Description Job Description BARTENDER JOB DESCRIPTION To deliver friendly and efficient service; to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our customers and ensure they have a great experience. Bartender responsibilities include preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, managing bar inventory, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, checking customer identification to enforce legal drinking age, processing payments, and providing a positive customer experience. They must also adhere to safety and legal regulations, handle cash accurately, resolve customer issues, and collaborate with the rest of the staff to ensure smooth operations. Customer Service & Sales Greet guests : and take drink and food orders. Provide recommendations : for drinks and menu items based on customer preferences. Handle cash and credit card transactions : using a point-of-sale (POS) system and manage tabs. Address customer complaints : or concerns promptly and professionally. Create a positive, welcoming atmosphere : for guests. Drink Preparation & Service Mix and prepare : alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards. Slice and prepare fruit garnishes : and other bar supplies. Serve drinks to customers : in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure drink presentation : is appealing. Bar Maintenance & Operations Monitor and manage inventory levels , placing orders for necessary supplies as needed. Stock the bar : with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, glassware, and other essentials. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bar area , including washing glasses and bar tools. Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service regulations . Assist with daily and weekly cleaning : schedules, as well as opening and closing procedures. Compliance & Teamwork Check customers' IDs : to ensure they are of legal drinking age. Monitor guests for signs of intoxication : and take appropriate steps to ensure responsible alcohol service. Collaborate with other staff : (e.g., kitchen staff, servers) to ensure efficient service. Maintain a positive attitude : and work effectively as part of a team.
