Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details Location: Rosedale, MD 21237 (Baltimore area) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1590 - $1710 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: December 9, 2025 End Date: March 10, 2026 Shift: 12-hour nights (18:30 – 07:00) Hours per Week: 36 Unit: Medical Surgical Telemetry (post-op focus, telemetry monitoring) Patient Ratio: 1:5 or 1:6 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: 2 out of 3 winter holidays and other holidays during contract Scrubs: Navy Blue (not provided) Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Compact RN license or Maryland Registered Nurse license Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required BLS (Basic Life Support) and NIHSS certifications required Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms) Experience with gender affirmation surgery patients preferred (not required) Cerner electronic charting experience preferred Ability to float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed Two supervisor references required Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a post-operative focus Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry rhythms; participate in rapid response and code situations Administer medications and blood products; manage central lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, surgical drains, and wound vacs Perform phlebotomy, IV starts, and manage feeding tubes and airway devices Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR (preferred) Maintain infection control and isolation precautions Float to other nursing units as required Discover the benefits of working in Rosedale, MD—a welcoming suburb with easy access to Baltimore’s healthcare community, cultural attractions, and recreational opportunities.
