Senior Data and Insights Lead Join Create NSW , a division of the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Clerk Grade 9/10 with a salary range of $ 129,464 - $ 142,665 per annum plus superannuation Ongoing role based in The Rocks, Sydney CBD About Create NSW Create NSW supports the people, places, communities, and creative work that shape the cultural life of NSW. About the role In this role, you’ll use data to help shape the future of arts, culture and the creative industries in NSW. You’ll collect, analyse and interpret complex information to provide insights that guide program design and policy development. You’ll work with varied data sources to analyse trends, measure impact and identify opportunities for growth, ensuring your findings are accurate , relevant and easy to understand. You’ll also collaborate with technical specialists and sector partners to develop tools, visualisations and reports that bring data to life. By exploring trends, opportunities and challenges, you’ll contribute to evidence-based initiatives that support a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable creative sector. About You You’re an analytical thinker who enjoys working with complex data and turning it into clear, practical insights. You are c onfident using tools such as Power BI and can draw meaningful conclusions from varied data sources and communicate your findings in a way that supports informed decision-making. Some knowledge of economic analysis or related concepts would also be an advantage. You’ll bring curiosity, adaptability and a collaborative approach to your work. In a small, fast-moving team, you’re comfortable shifting between different projects and priorities, maintaining accuracy and clarity under pressure while keeping up to date with emerging trends and best practice in data analysis.
