Employment Type : Casual Position Classification : Hospital Assistant Grade 2 Remuneration : $29.06 ph ( superannuation salary packaging options ) Location: Bourke , NSW – Find out more Applications Close: 14 November 2025 – 11:59pm Hospital Assistant Bourke Multi Purpose Service About the role In this varied role you will help the staff within the Bourke MPS with non-medical duties including housekeeping, portering patients and general assistance. This varied and interesting role which may include transferring patients within the hospital, linen maintenance & medical supply restocking, cooking and/or preparing light refreshments of patients, general cleaning as required including rooms and equipment and assisting generally as directed by nursing staff. You will need to be reliable, punctual and energetic, physically fit, have a caring and supportive attitude and use your good communication skills to be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Remaining calm in emergencies and the capability to handle equipment such as wheelchairs, beds and other medical equipment is also valued.
