ICU RN Job Details Location: Fishers, Indiana (46037) Assignment Length: 13 weeks Healthcare Setting: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital, ICU unit Shift Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00), 36 hours/week Start Date: November 17, 2025 End Date: February 16, 2026 Openings: 2 ICU RN travel nurse positions Employment Type: Travel nursing job Estimated Weekly Salary: $1770-$1820 Free Parking: Available Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent ICU nursing experience required Previous travel nurse experience required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana or compact state; pending license accepted if willing to obtain prior to start) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Ability to float to PCU and affiliate hospitals as needed Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE) 2 supervisor references required Experience with Cerner charting system preferred Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) ICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU and PCU patients Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG Thermoregulation (hypothermia/hyperthermia protocols) Care for post-cardiac surgery and pre/post cardiac cath/intervention patients Sheath removal, arterial and central line management, PICC line management Administer blood products and emergency medications Start and maintain IVs; titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Manage ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and perform suctioning Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) Implement infection prevention and isolation precautions Care for patients with ARDS, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, AKI, UTI, and acute shock Float to PCU and other hospital units as required Discover rewarding travel nursing jobs in Indiana and experience the best of Fishers while making a difference in critical care.
