A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Adult Stepdown Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM • Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation with no guarantee of hours • Float between various medical and surgical units including Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit (on rare occasions) • 2-10 years of nursing experience required • Hawaii nursing license must be obtained by start of assignment • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC) • Work with equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes • Patient ratios vary by unit: Medical 1:6 for days and evenings, 1:8 for nights; Laulima 1:6; Cardiovascular 1:4 • Professional nursing attire required - clean scrubs • Must arrive Thursday before start date for Friday employee health appointment • Orientation provided for each unit • Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity Facility: This healthcare facility operates multiple specialized units including a 77-bed Medical Unit, 18-bed Laulima surgical acute unit, and 15-bed Cardiovascular Unit.
