Key Job Details – ER RN Travel Assignment Location: Schenectady, NY 12308 (Upstate New York) Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED) Job Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/9/2025 – End: 3/7/2026) Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am, 30-minute unpaid break) Hours per Week: 36 Schedule: Every other weekend required; no call; no self-scheduling Float: Required to ED Observation Unit and units within competency Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,100 - $2,250 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active New York State Registered Nurse license (NYS RN; must obtain before start) Minimum 1 year of recent ER nursing experience (2 years preferred) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross; PALS required at submission) TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications preferred Recent Nursys verification Ability to float to other units within competency Prior travel nursing experience preferred ER RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department Perform drips, infusions, phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, patient transports, and medication administration Float to ED Observation Unit and other clinical units as needed Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including mental health professionals Care for cardiac, trauma, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency cases Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures Discover rewarding travel nursing jobs in New York and enjoy Schenectady's vibrant community, scenic parks, and cultural attractions.
