Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CCU - Coronary Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - CVICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • 4 total weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule • Holiday coverage based on unit rotation and coverage needs • Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 with high number of 1:1 assignments • Float to other ICUs and all telemetry units (4:1 ratio on tele) - travelers float first before permanent staff • Required to float to Westgate campus when requested • Must have Level I trauma experience • ICU experience required, CVICU experience preferred • Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed) • Pass/fail SIMs Lab on day 1 including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes • 2-day floor-specific orientation required • Must have strong IV skills as there is no IV team • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (CCRN preferred) • Must have own vehicle for travel • Dress code: Navy scrubs, natural hair color only, no facial piercings, men must be clean-shaven for fit testing • Work with Phillips telemetry system and Cerner EMR • Care for high-acuity patients including cardiac surgery recovery, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, ECMO, and various thoracic procedures • Handle bedside procedures including bronchoscopy, Swan-Ganz catheters, and epidurals • Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment Facility: This major healthcare facility operates as a Level I trauma center providing comprehensive cardiac and critical care services.
