Our client located in Garsfontein, Pretoria is looking for a dynamic Office Administrator & PA to join their team! About them: They are a leading, independent international automotive distributor and mobility company with over 70 years of heritage. The company provides end-to-end automotive solutions, including distribution, retail, service, logistics, and pre-owned salesacross markets in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, Asia, and Africa. They partner with top global OEM brands, such as Toyota, Lexus, BYD, MG, and Changan, offering a full ownership experience from financing to servicing. About the role: The Events & Communication Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing all corporate, dealer, and public-facing events, as well as ensuring consistent brand communication across channels. This role will drive the visibility of the Changan brand in South Africa, create impactful experiences, and safeguard a unified voice in all messaging. The position is central to brand building, launch execution, and ongoing engagement with stakeholders, dealers, media, and customers. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage the annual events calendar aligned with brand and sales objectives. Plan and execute all corporate, dealer, media, customer, and government events, including launches, dealer openings, test-drive activations, and sponsorships. Oversee all event logistics such as venue sourcing, supplier and agency coordination, contracts, permits, catering, staging, AV, décor, hospitality, transport, and guest experience. Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery with strong return on investment. Ensure all events meet global CI standards and reflect a world-class brand presence. Track and report on event KPIs, including attendance, media coverage, customer engagement, and ROI. Manage the brand voice and ensure all communication aligns with brand positioning. Develop communication plans for product launches, dealer initiatives, aftersales campaigns, fleet activities, and corporate affairs. Write, edit, and oversee press releases, newsletters, speeches, website content, and social media material. Build and maintain relationships with media across print, TV, radio, online, and influencer channels. Provide crisis communication support through timely and consistent messaging. Ensure alignment between dealer communications, national advertising, and corporate messaging. Act as a communication liaison with dealers, agencies, media, government, and industry bodies. Prepare talking points, briefing packs, presentations, and speeches for executives. Drive internal communication and employee engagement through newsletters, announcements, and internal events. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or Event Management (postgraduate an advantage). Minimum 7 years experience in brand communications, events, or PR (automotive or FMCG industry preferred). Proven track record in managing large-scale events and launch activations. Strong understanding of South African media landscape and influencer ecosystems. Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills. Experience managing agencies, vendors, and budgets. Fluency in English required; proficiency in additional SA languages an advantage. Valid drivers licence Remuneration: Negotiable depending on experience MA Pension
