You will develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the hotel’s safety and security procedures. Some of the responsibilities include: Proactively & regularly assess risks and implement the appropriate controls Develop, implement & monitor Hotel Safety & Security procedures including but not limited to emergency, fire, life & safety procedures, ensuring compliance with the relevant regulations Respond to security & emergency incidents as they arise, including de-escalation, conducting investigations and writing incident reports as required Provide excellent guest service ensuring the Event and VIP guests security needs are met in a professional manner Conduct all safety training including Fire training, Fire Drills, De-escalation Training, Emergency Response Act as a First Aid responder and manage the First Aid boxes throughout the hotel Shared responsibility of Occupational Health & Safety with the Human Resources department What you bring to the role Qualifications in Security Operations, Security & Risk Management or related education. Qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety will be highly regarded Previous experience in security within a five-star hotel, or similar operation Ability to implement and monitor policies and procedures to ensure they comply with all safety regulations Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to confidently interact with guests and colleagues in person Ability to keep calm and problem solve under pressure Excellent time management skills with an ability to multi-task Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays Join us at Hyatt and make travel more human.
