Empowering through culinary skills Cook, Train, Inspire. Langley is seeking a passionate and organised Cook Trainer to join our friendly team in Poole, Dorset . In this rewarding role, youll combine your culinary expertise with your ability to mentor and inspire, helping residents and trainees develop practical cooking skills that enhance their independence and quality of life. Youll oversee kitchen operations, menu planning, and food preparation while ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and legislative standards. This is a permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week across a 7 day rota) offering a salary of £26,175 per annum . Maintain high hygiene standards, ensure proper waste disposal, and oversee food purchasing, storage, preparation, cooking, and serving. Plan menus collaboratively, minimize waste, liaise with suppliers for best value, and conduct regular stock audits to ensure proper rotation and removal of expired items. Develop and implement training plans for residents and trainees, supervise their activities, record progress, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and project rules. Manage training activities with a businesslike approach, aim for self-financing, and enforce security measures to maintain acceptable risk levels during kitchen operations.
