Position Overview A private family in Rhinebeck, NY, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Domestic Duo / Team to oversee the daily care and management of their residence. This is a long-term position for a loyal, trustworthy team who will maintain the home to the highest standards and ensure it remains organized, welcoming, and guest-ready at all times. The two hired individuals will be responsible for detailed housekeeping, laundry, light meal preparation, household maintenance, and property oversight. The role requires flexibility to adjust between quieter weeks when the family is away and busy periods of entertaining when the home is full of guests. Responsibilities Perform detailed daily cleaning and maintenance of the home Manage laundry and ironing (including linens and fine garments) Polish silver and care for fine furnishings and delicate surfaces Maintain and water house plants regularly Handle household shopping for food, cleaning supplies, and other essentials Collect and distribute mail; receive deliveries and greet visitors Manage trash and recycling in accordance with collection schedules Serve meals, set tables, and manage cleanup afterward Collaborate with two additional part-time housekeepers for deep cleaning tasks Prepare and cook meals for the family and guests, sometimes for groups of varying sizes (training available) Assist with meal service, plating, and hospitality during events and gatherings Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify leaks or maintenance issues and report findings promptly Shovel snow from the front steps and walkways as needed Work closely with the property manager for scheduling repairs and coordinating outside vendors Oversee the overall condition of the home and ensure systems are functioning properly Drive family members and guests to and from the train station or other local destinations Run errands as needed and maintain household vehicles Feed and walk two family dogs; ensure they are well cared for and comfortable Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a Domestic Duo/ Team in a private estate or similar environment Excellent references from all previous employers Strong housekeeping, laundry, and home organization skills Ability to cook or willingness to learn (training available) Hands-on, proactive, and service-oriented Pet-friendly and comfortable caring for dogs Professional, discreet, and trustworthy demeanor Excellent communication and teamwork skills Valid driver’s licenses and clean driving records U.S. work authorization required SOCIETY STAFFING 379 West Broadway, 2nd Floor New York, NY 10012 Agency DCA License 2008231 www.societystaffing.com SSIN123
