Estimated weekly salary: $1,780 - $1,910 Key Job Details – Cardiac Stepdown RN Location: Tupelo, MS 38801 (Mississippi healthcare jobs) Unit: Cardiac Stepdown Unit (16 beds) Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Start Dates: 12/3/2025 or 12/17/2025 Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract Shift: 12-hour days (7a-7p) Hours per Week: 36 Schedule: 3-1-3 or 6 on/8 off (confirmed at contract start) Floating: Required to other stepdown units as needed Weekend/Holiday: Rotating, including Christmas or New Year's shifts EMR: Epic Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Mississippi RN license (Registered Nurse) BLS and ACLS certifications (required for cardiac nursing jobs) NIH Stroke Scale certification Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac stepdown or stepdown RN experience Ability to float to other stepdown units within the hospital Full scheduling flexibility and availability Must pass Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia test (80% or higher) Fingerprinting process must begin within 48 hours of offer acceptance All compliance documents due 7 days before start date Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the cardiac stepdown unit Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes Float to other stepdown units as required Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR Follow hospital policies, including infection control and safety protocols Participate in weekend and holiday rotations Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Cardiac Stepdown RN in Tupelo, Mississippi, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
