Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work varied schedule with weekend and holiday requirements • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for ICU patients • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs • Formulate individualized plans of care utilizing assessment data and patient/family input • Implement care plans through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed • Document all aspects of patient care in accordance with policy requirements • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care • Review diagnostic and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians • Delegate appropriately and provide supervision to other healthcare team members • Participate in patient and family education activities • Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice or compact licensure • BLS certification required • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required • Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months in specialty area required • Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations • Physical demands include ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend frequently • Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids Facility: This healthcare organization is part of a comprehensive health system that emphasizes evidence-based care and quality patient outcomes.
