Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/15/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 or 48-hour weekly schedules available • Patient ratios of 1:6 for surgical/medicine inpatient patients • Every other weekend requirement • Float to like units when needed • 13-26 week contracts accepted • 2 days hospital orientation plus 24 hours floor training • Must have minimum 2 years of surgical unit experience • Travel experience preferred but not required • Must pass EKG testing prior to start • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH • Must maintain strict call-off policy compliance • Maximum 7 days RTO allowed with auto approval • Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Required to work Storm Team/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events • Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, surgical drain management, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions • Preferred skills include titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, chest tube management • Work with wide range of surgical and trauma patients including various cancers, motor vehicle accidents, and post-surgical patients • Dress code: All navy scrubs or navy bottom/white top • Use Epic documentation system and Pyxis medication system • 8-10 hours of non-billable modules required pre-start and annually Facility: This major healthcare facility operates a combination acuity unit featuring adult medical surgical and surgical stepdown services.
