Intermediate UX|UI Designer Area: Cape Town area. Type: Hybrid position Salary: R45K – R70K CTC p.m. (depending on experience) My client is a value-driven company at the forefront of innovation, specializing in designing and developing cutting-edge mobile and web applications. Your role As an Intermediate UI/UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in crafting user-centric designs that exceed expectations and align with business objectives. You will apply advanced strategic thinking to create solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences, drive engagement, and enhance user satisfaction. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will utilise your expertise in UI/UX principles and design tools to innovate, adapt to market trends, and deliver high-quality designs that elevate our products and services. Your Responsibilities Utilise strategic thinking to develop engaging, user-centric designs that exceed basic usability. Innovate features based on trends and user needs. Improve design quality during wireframe and UI reviews. Exceed design brief expectations with innovative solutions. Create intuitive, aesthetically pleasing UI designs that ensure user satisfaction. Anticipate future design trends to stay competitive. Master advanced design tools, guide others, and deliver top-quality designs. Collaborate on project scoping and lead projects to ensure alignment with business objectives, timelines, and client satisfaction. Manage project budgets and resources efficiently to meet deadlines. Mentor team members to foster growth, skill development, and design thinking. Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration. Support a high-functioning team focusing on quality work, value, and well-being. Guide teams in complex projects by setting clear expectations and providing constructive feedback. Resolve team conflicts effectively. Monitor performance goals and take corrective actions when needed. Our Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in UX/UI Design 4 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points: Experience with motion design, 3D, or advanced prototyping tools. Strong portfolio showcasing user-centric design solutions, innovative projects, and proven experience designing for web and mobile platforms. Proven track record of driving user engagement, satisfaction, and business impact through design solutions. Strong understanding of UX principles, usability testing, user-centered design processes, and accessibility standards. Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and maintaining consistency across products. Ability to translate complex user needs and business goals into intuitive and visually appealing designs. Proficiency in design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience working in collaboration with software developers, product managers, and stakeholders. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with a strong familiarity with iterative design processes. Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design.
