EMS Integration Engineer(mobilize to USA)

Position overview : Akila North America is seeking a Technical Integration Engineer to join our growing integration and delivery team. This role is essential to ensuring seamless integration of the Akila EMS module into our clients’ ecosystems, from hardware onboarding and IoT communications to platform configuration and dashboard setup. You will work at the intersection of smart buildings, IoT, and AI-powered energy management, contributing directly to the success of Akila deployments across diverse verticals such as retail, hospitality, logistics, higher education, life sciences, and commercial real estate. Key Responsibilities : 1) Technical assessment for smart building IOT integration . Evaluate customer needs and collect equipment inventories (HVAC, meters, gateways, sensors,etc). Define hardware and communication specifications for EMS integration. Develop and maintain integration checklists and documentation. 2) Coordination with Metering Partners & Customers Work closely with metering hardware partners during project design, installation, and commissioning. Coordinate with customer technical teams to validate metering architecture, data availability, and integration requirements. Support troubleshooting and alignment between field installers, metering vendors, and Akila platform integration workflows. 3) Hardware sensors evaluation support . Oversee the sourcing, selection, and qualification of sensors Conduct technical assessments of sensors (capabilities, protocols, requirements, interoperability). Identify, compare, and assess sensors, meters and IoT devices to answer customer’s need. Support feasibility studies. 4) Gateway configuration and installation. Oversee network configuration Set up cloud configuration and secure communication channels. Configure IoT devices and ensure stable data transmission using defined protocols. 5) Dashboard Design & Data Visualization Define and configure Power BI dashboards for EMS insights and reporting. Develop dashboards for customer-specific needs. Ensure data accuracy, KPI relevance, and user-friendly visualization. 6) Akila Platform Configuration Configure equipment and building structure within the Akila platform. Set up energy meters structure, data hierarchies and monitoring points. Define energy flows and energy-saving configuration elements. Ideal candidate profile : Must have: Technical skills Diploma in Computer Science/Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or Networks and Telecommunications. Strong knowledge of smart building communication protocol (Bacnet, OPC, Modbus, LON…) Ability to work with electrical diagrams, network topologies, and device configuration Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and data structures Solid understanding of TCP/IP. Fluent English, written and spoken Professional skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Comfortable working in dynamic environments across multiple projects, multiple cultures and multiple time zones Strong organization, autonomy, and ownership mindset Nice to have Experience with dashboarding or analytics platforms (Power BI, etc) Knowledge on BMS configuration (Building Management System) Experience with HVAC equipment and control systems Experience with project management tools (Jira, Redmine…) Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN,…) Experience with Continuous integration (Jenkins,…) Chinese language skill is a plus.
