ENCOMPASS HEALTH REHABILITATION HOSPITAL OF WACO is seeking a full time physiatrist as we grow and expand our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Located in Robinson, TX, we are a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, brain injury, hip fracture and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions. Inpatient rehabilitation Self-directed daily workflow See 15-20 patients immediately Option to consult at local acute care hospitals Leadership potential ENCOMPASS HEALTH PM&R DESCRIPTION The physiatrist works with the Medical Director and leadership staff to enhance the programmatic quality and integrity of the hospital's rehabilitation services. He / She plays a pivotal role in optimizing the overall clinical care of the hospital while also providing clinical care to patients. Partner with the hospital CEO to advance the hospital's position as the inpatient rehabilitation hospital of choice in the service area. Enhance the patient satisfaction rankings to exceed the Encompass Health average and achieve a consistent top 10 clinical ranking. Physician will establish a private practice to include a caseload of medically complex inpatient rehabilitation patients and an outpatient rehabilitation practice if he or she chooses. The Physiatrist will set up a relationship with an independent billing company and retain 100% of his/her own billing and collections. QUALIFICATIONS MD or DO with state medical license or willingness to obtain state license Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or similar specialty Patient-centered commitment to excellence Excellent interpersonal and communications skills Hospital-based physiatry experience preferred but not required Interest in being a part of a thriving community New Grads Welcome!
