Pay Information $2,676 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatric Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting, Peds Oncology experience required License: Licensed as a Registered Nurse with current registration in Client Certifications: BLS; ACLS; APHON or CPON highly preferred Must-Have: BSN Description: Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care. Applies the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards. Assesses and evaluates patient care needs and applies critical thinking skills in patient care management. Integrates relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care. Prioritizes all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after hospital care, and delegating to others as appropriate. Educates patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease while anticipating their needs and readiness to learn. Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, families, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team. Manages assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and demonstrates effective allocation of material resources.
