No experience required but must be hard working. Labor intensive job.
Schedule: Full time and Part time positions available. 16-28 hours for part time and 40 hours for full time. Must be willing to consistently work Saturdays and Sundays.
Hours: Between 9:00am-5:00pm, based upon the number of rooms assigned each day. Ending time will vary.
Position reports to: Director of Housekeeping
Purposes/Goal: Provide an immaculately clean atmosphere for our guests. This includes guest rooms and all public areas of the hotel.
Ensure every room is immaculately clean and ready for the next guest in an efficient and timely way
Ensure that the bathrooms are free of hair and are spotless
Change sheets and pillowcases and make each bed
Ensure only the correct pillows, pillowcases and bedding is used.
Spot clean carpets as necessary
Organize all guest papers and notes correctly in guest rooms
Ensure all lights are working in every room each day
Turn AC or Heat to proper setting as instructed
Label and turn in guests items left in room IMMEDIATELY to front desk or supervisor
Report maintenance items or missing items IMMEDIATELY to supervisor
Clean refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, and sink areas thoroughly.
Vacuum entire room thoroughly, including under bed skirts and room corners
Dust all furniture and check for cobwebs
Check behind nightstands and beside beds thoroughly for trash and crumbs
Empty trash every day and clean trash cans
Straighten lampshades and furniture as necessary
Make sure remote is present, clean and working
Clean ALL mirrors daily
Scrub bathtub, shower walls, sink, toilet and floor to immaculate clean and polish all chrome.
Replace all soaps, coffees, cups etc.
Ensure that every aspect of the guest room is clean and presentable
Use and handle cleaners properly
Respect your assigned cart as your work space and keep it tidy and clean it at the end of the day. Keep assigned items on proper cart.
Take trash to assigned area for removal by maintenance. TIE YOUR BAGS
Keep guest stay-over rooms secure
Keep access key card secure and turn it in at the end of the work day
Vacuum hallway in your assigned area every day
Assist in extra cleaning projects throughout hotel as assigned
Assist in deep cleaning of guest rooms and public areas of the hotel as assigned
Other duties related to hotel cleanliness as requested by management
Adhere to the policies and procedures in the Company Policy Handbook
Able to communicate effectively
Customer/Guest service skills
Able to lift up to 25 pounds
Able to get on hands and knees and scrub
Ability to work long physically strenuous hours under pressure
Ability and willingness to be directed in performance as necessary
Trustworthy and honorable with regard to keeping guest and employee items secure and private
Pride in doing the best work possible
Ability to clean efficient and well
