Black Diamond Resort Co, located at One Mile Otto Lake Road in Healy, Alaska 99743 (907) 683-4653, is recruiting for four (4) temporary, full time, seasonal Food Preparation to work from April 1st, 2020 to September 30th, 2020. Work will be performed at Black Diamond Resort Co in Healy, Alaska. Job duties include Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware. Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage. Portion and wrap the food, and place it directly on plates for service to patrons. Prepare a variety of foods, such as meats, vegetables, or desserts. Employer will provide on the job training. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. No experience is required and there are no minimum education requirements. Work hours will be scheduled at 40 hours per week from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; 5 days per week with two days off. Workers will be paid no less than $15.94 per hour. Overtime is $23.91 per hour (paid at time and a half). Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid on Friday (biweekly) by check. The employer does offer on sight housing for $15 per day. This is a twin bed in a room with two twin beds so the room is shared. Housing is fully furnished and all utility costs are included in this daily price. There are no additional costs. Food is not provided but the housing has working kitchens and there is a grocery store within walking distance. The h2b worker is not required to live in our housing and you are able to secure your own housing if you choose. $15 per day is deducted from your paycheck if you choose to stay in our on sight housing. The employer will make all deductions from the workers’ paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $15 per day during travel to a maximum of $55 per day with receipts. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least ¾ of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
