Banqueting assistant: Catering Services

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB To ensure the safe and prompt delivery of food to customers perform waiter and venue setup duties. Maintain good customer satisfaction levels in line with food, health and safety requirements. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Delivery of Food in a safe and orderly manner Compliance to food safety and health and safety requirements Perform waiter and bar tendering duties. Customer Service Perform cashier duties. Banqueting Duties CORE COMPETENCIES Knowledge and understanding of menu, prices and specials Knowledge of venue setup and banqueting Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, compliance to HACCP standards and other relevant food, health, and safety requirements Knowledge of traffic laws Professional waiter/bartender skills MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 or equivalent (e.g. technical qualification) Drivers license with PDP Normally 1-3 Years relevant and /or working experience as a delivery driver 1 3 years experience within the hospitality industry as waiter/barman SCREENING QUESTIONS Are you in possession of a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification? Do you have a valid driving license and PDP? Do you a minimum of one-year experience as a delivery driver? Do you have at least one-year experience working in the hospitality industry?
