Job Description

These positions are located in Grand Canyon National Park, in the Facility Management and Engineering Division, within the Utilities Branch. Grand Canyon National Park may pay a recruitment or relocation incentive for the applicant selected. The incentive may be up to 25% of the annual rate of pay, multiplied by the number of years in the service period (up to 4 years, depending on length of service agreement).

Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of A Utility Systems Repairer Operator Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT). Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Knowledge of materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. To be found minimally qualified, your resume must show: I am able to perform the full range of Utility Systems Repairer-Operator tasks at the journeyman level under normal supervision. Independently oversee the operation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, water distribution systems, and/or wastewater treatment collection systems. Oversee the operation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of potable water pumping, storage, transmission, treatment and local distribution systems, wastewater collection and pumping systems; reclaim water pumping, storage, transmission systems; chlorination systems. Oversee the operation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of water treatment facilities.
